Legal
By installing the Crept Chrome extension or using crept.app in any way, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Joshua Harte, trading as Crept, based in Birmingham, UK.
Crept is a Chrome extension that lives inside Gmail and helps freelancers detect scope creep in client emails. It does this by comparing email content against a signed scope agreement using AI, and returns a verdict along with a draft change order.
Crept is a tool to assist your judgement — not a substitute for professional legal or financial advice. AI analysis results are indicative and should be reviewed before acting on them.
Crept uses Google OAuth to authenticate you. You must have a valid Google account and grant read-only Gmail access to use the core analysis features. You are responsible for keeping your account secure.
You must be at least 18 years old and use Crept for legitimate business or freelance purposes only.
Crept is available on two plans:
Pricing may change. We will give at least 30 days' notice of any price changes to existing subscribers.
Premium subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. Payment is taken at the start of each billing period. All prices are in GBP and are tax inclusive.
If a payment fails, access may be downgraded to the Free plan until payment is resolved.
You can cancel your Premium subscription at any time from within the Crept extension. Two cancellation behaviours apply:
No refunds are issued after the billing period has ended.
Crept requests read-only access to Gmail solely to read the content of the email you are currently viewing when you click the Analyze button. This is the only email data ever accessed.
Email content is sent to an AI model for analysis and is immediately discarded. It is never stored, logged, or retained after analysis is complete. We do not read, access, or process any email you have not explicitly chosen to analyse.
This approach is NDA-safe and compliant with UK GDPR. For full details see our Privacy Policy.
You agree not to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.
Crept, its branding, code, and all associated content are the intellectual property of Joshua Harte. Nothing in these terms grants you any right to use the Crept name, logo, or trademarks without prior written permission.
Content you create using Crept — such as scope agreements and change orders — remains yours.
Crept is provided on an "as is" basis. We make no guarantees regarding uptime, accuracy of AI analysis, or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Crept and Joshua Harte shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including any losses resulting from reliance on AI verdicts.
Our total liability to you in any circumstances shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 3 months prior to the claim.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Crept after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
For material changes, we will notify you by email where possible.
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you have any questions about these terms, please get in touch at hello@crept.app.
